Why separate audio matters
No shared phone speaking over the room.
ChatGPT Live listens and speaks at the same time. On one shared device, the source voice and translated voice can fill the room together, which becomes tiring and difficult to follow in a long meeting.
Call Jennie gives each person a separate audio path. Your microphone sends your speech; your headphones play the other person’s translated voice. Their original audio is off by default, while both captions stay visible for checking.
Zoom companion setup
- Keep Zoom video running on each laptop, with Zoom computer audio muted.
- Open the Call Jennie link on each phone and use headphones.
- See each other on Zoom while Call Jennie carries the translated voice line.
This is a companion workflow, not a Zoom plug-in. Call Jennie does not connect to, capture, or modify Zoom audio.
